What a wonderful welcome we received from Valerie. It was like staying at a friends house. We were left a selection of Northern Ireland essentials, personally labelled for us, which was a lovely touch.
Everything was provided that you could need, and it was all very organised and clean.
We would definitely recommend Scott’s Place and would like to make a return visit some day.

We stayed at Scott's Place for 3 nights as a family of 3. Location is peaceful and a great location for travelling to local attractions. Hosts are very attentive and couldn’t have been more helpful - always at hand for anything we may have needed.
Scott’s Place itself is an ideal size and is nice and cosy. Very well equipped for as much or as little cooking as you want to do! Outdoor dining facilities available too which was great!
The personal touch of asking our wee girl her name the first day and calling her by her name for the rest of the break was lovely!
We will definitely return in the future!

Scott’s Place is a real hidden gem in the heart of County Down.
We were welcomed in person and shown around. The photos really don’t do it justice. The apartment is beautiful and has everything you could need.
There is a huge garden and we enjoyed the private outside seating area (when the weather was on our side!). Valerie and Sam couldn’t have been more helpful going out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.
Fantastic hosts, fantastic apartment - would definitely recommend staying here.

Valerie and Sam greeted us so warmly and showed us around the house which was gorgeous with two outside eating areas, a barbecue and a fire pit all ready to go.
There was a welcome hamper with delicious local produce including bread milk coffee jam. All essentials such as salt, pepper, oil, washing up liquid, toiletries etc.
The beds were super comfortable and it was the perfect location for the fabulous wedding we attended nearby

Scott's cottage is beautifully decorated and every possible item has been thoughtfully selected to make your stay as comfortable and easy.

Just had a wonderful stay at Scott’s Place.
Valerie and Sam were the perfect hosts and we were welcomed into a warm apartment with wood burner lit and a lovely little basket of goodies including locally sourced bread, scones and milk.
Scott’s Place is a beautiful apartment situated at the rear of the main house. It is beautifully decorated and has all modern fixtures and fittings. It is also very well equipped and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
It is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland and perfectly located to explore the Mourne Mountains (The view of the mountains from the cottage is stunning).
Scott’s Place is a great retreat and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking somewhere to relax and unwind..

Wow! Just wow!
We stayed at Scott's place with our 4 year old daughter and two dogs. Upon arrival Sam came out and greeted everyone by name, including our daughter. We stayed over Easter weekend and the house was decorated with egg bunting, and an Easter themed welcome letter was at the door with everyone named personally. The house was modern, spotless and Contained everything you need! A beautiful hamper of goodies awaited us too. The garden furniture was covered and uncovered like magic every morning and evening. The absolute icing on the cake was that Sam and Valerie provided a guided Easter egg hunt for our daughter with a map of the grounds, bunny ears and bucket with the opportunity to find a whooping 20 eggs and a final beautiful prize located “secretly” on the property (this included hand made sign posting to follow). They’ve actually set us quite high standards as parents now haha. We will 100% return to Scott’s place! The hosts, house and surroundings were *chefs kiss..

Very comfortable, plenty of space for two of us. We were generally out by day and in during the evening. Didn't use it apart from the first day we arrived but the fire would have been very welcoming if the weather had been colder..

Best Airbnb we have ever stayed in!
The best airbnb we have ever stayed in. It was super clean, very neat, the kitchen was fully equipped and everything seemed brand new. Valerie and Sam were very welcoming, communication was easy and we received a generous welcome pack as well, which was a great surprise.
The view from the garden was incredible and we really loved the outdoor furniture as well along with the BBQ set.
There is a lot to do in the area, so we will definitely return in the future.

This airbnb was pristine!
What can I say, this airbnb was pristine! It felt like home.from the minute we were greeted until the moment we handed the keys back. Valerie and Sam even set up the outdoor spaces and bbq for us when we needed and looked after us during our stay. The whole place was so clean and everything was fresh and smelling of fabric softener. It really meant we were happy to treat it like our own home for a few days. It is also just 20 mins to all the nearest towns and attractions in the area which was fantastic. Will def be back 😊.

Very comfortable 3 night stay!
My husband, my father-in-law and I had an very comfortable 3 night stay in the holiday accommodation in the grounds of Valerie’s home. The apartment was spotlessly clean and full of everything you might need during a week away including a basket of local food supplies.... Valerie was friendly and communicative and we very much enjoyed our stay in rural Northern Ireland revisiting old haunts (my husband used to live nearby). A very nice stay!.

Wonderful two night stay!
We enjoyed a wonderful two night stay here with our children. They loved the novelty of having the upstairs bedroom space in the loft. The forest parks and towns were only a 20 minute drive away and they were filled with lots of fun family and child friendly activities. I underestimated how much Co. Down has to offer. Our entire group’s nicest Airbnb experience ever. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing spot to spend the Christmas hols and couldn’t have asked for a better place or better hosts. Not only was the accommodation lovely, clean, and well stocked with anything we might need, Valerie went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. From gorgeous Christmas decorations, tasty treats and fresh local milk to a cosy fire already roaring upon arrival, it was such a wonderful stay. We returned to Scott's Place for our 2nd superb stay!
We returned to Scott's Place again for half-term and we were so glad we did! I even managed to get a few rounds of golf in at Royal County Down and Holywood Golf courses whilst my family visited the Belfast and Dublin over the 5 days. We were so please that Scott's Place was dog friendly with a very large secure garden that our 2 dogs enjoyed the freedom to run around without fear of running away 🐕.
